What is it used for?
Ketorolac 10 mg is used for the short-term relief of moderate to severe acute pain, such as pain after surgery or injury. It is not usually intended for long-term pain treatment.

How does it work?
It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It reduces the production of substances in the body that cause pain, swelling and inflammation.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and swallow the tablet with water. Do not take it for longer than directed, or combine it with other NSAID painkillers such as ibuprofen, diclofenac or aspirin unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Stomach pain or discomfort, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness and drowsiness.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma triggered by painkillers, or dehydration. It can cause stomach bleeding and kidney problems; seek urgent medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, breathing difficulty, swelling or a serious skin rash. Avoid during pregnancy unless specifically prescribed, particularly after 20 weeks and in the third trimester. Tell the doctor about blood thinners, steroids or other medicines being used.
