What is it used for?
Ondansetron is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting, including nausea and vomiting related to surgery, cancer treatment, or other medical conditions.

It blocks serotonin signals that can trigger nausea and vomiting in the brain and digestive system.
How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Follow the instructions on the label and do not take more or use it for longer than advised.
Common side effects
Headache, constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, and tiredness.
Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is a history of heart rhythm problems, low potassium or magnesium levels, liver disease, or an allergy to ondansetron. Inform the doctor about all medicines being taken, especially medicines that can affect heart rhythm or serotonin levels. Seek urgent medical help for fainting, a fast or irregular heartbeat, severe allergic symptoms, or agitation with fever and muscle stiffness.
