What is it used for?
This medicine is used on the skin to treat scabies and lice infestations. The cetrimide component also helps reduce germs on the treated skin.

How does it work?
Gamma benzene hexachloride (lindane) kills scabies mites and lice by affecting their nervous system. Cetrimide is an antiseptic that helps reduce microorganisms on the skin.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Use on the affected skin or scalp exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Do not use more than recommended, and avoid the eyes, mouth, inside of the nose and other sensitive areas. Wash hands after use unless the hands are being treated.

Common side effects
Skin irritation, burning, redness, itching or rash may occur. Stop use and seek medical help if severe irritation, dizziness, unusual movements or seizures occur.

Precautions
Do not apply to broken, inflamed or infected skin unless advised by a doctor. Use only with medical advice in children, older adults, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in people with a history of seizures. Avoid repeated or excessive use, as lindane can be absorbed through the skin and may affect the nervous system. Keep away from children and do not swallow.
