What is it used for?
This oral rehydration medicine is used to prevent and treat dehydration caused by diarrhoea, vomiting, or loss of fluids. It replaces water and essential salts such as sodium and potassium.

How does it work?
It contains glucose and electrolytes that help the intestine absorb water and salts more effectively, restoring the body's fluid and electrolyte balance.

How to take/use it
If supplied as a powder, dissolve it in the exact amount of clean water stated on the pack and sip the prepared solution frequently. Do not take the powder directly or mix it with less water than recommended. Use the prepared solution within the time stated on the pack and discard any leftover solution. Follow medical advice for children, older adults, or people with severe dehydration.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, or bloating may occur, especially if the solution is taken too quickly.

Precautions
People with kidney disease, heart failure, diabetes, or conditions requiring restricted salt or potassium should use it only with medical advice. Seek urgent medical care for severe dehydration, inability to drink, persistent vomiting, blood in the stool, worsening diarrhoea, confusion, or very little urine. Incorrect preparation may cause harmful salt or fluid imbalance.
