What is it used for?
Diclofenac 75 mg is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation in conditions such as arthritis, muscle pain, joint pain, sprains and other painful inflammatory conditions.

How does it work?
It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It reduces the production of substances in the body that cause pain, swelling and inflammation.

How to take/use it
Use only as prescribed by a doctor. If it is an oral medicine, take it with or after food and swallow it with water. Do not take more than the prescribed amount or use it for longer than recommended.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, headache and dizziness may occur.

Precautions
Avoid diclofenac if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, severe kidney or liver disease, severe heart disease, or an allergy to NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or aspirin, unless specifically advised by a doctor. It may increase the risk of stomach bleeding, heart problems and kidney problems, especially with prolonged use. Avoid combining it with other NSAIDs or blood thinners unless advised. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy, particularly after 20 weeks or in the last 3 months, and if there is asthma, high blood pressure or heart disease.
