What is it used for?
Used on infected or infection-prone skin wounds, cuts, abrasions and similar affected areas when advised by a healthcare professional. It helps control microorganisms that can cause wound infection.

How does it work?
Povidone iodine acts as a topical antiseptic against many microorganisms. Ornidazole helps act against certain anaerobic bacteria and other susceptible microorganisms.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes. Do not apply more often or for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, redness, itching or skin irritation may occur. Stop use and seek medical help if severe irritation, swelling or an allergic reaction develops.

Precautions
Do not use if allergic to povidone iodine, iodine or any ingredient. Avoid applying to large areas, deep wounds or severe burns unless specifically advised. Use medical advice before use in people with thyroid disorders, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or on young children. Seek medical care if the wound is deep, worsening, very painful, spreading redness or does not improve.
