What is it used for?
Used to provide calcium, active vitamin D (calcitriol) and zinc. It may be prescribed to help prevent or treat calcium deficiency and support bone health when these nutrients are needed.

How does it work?
Calcium helps maintain strong bones and supports normal muscle and nerve function. Calcitriol helps the body absorb calcium, while zinc supports normal growth, tissue repair and immune function.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Swallow the soft gelatin capsule whole with water, preferably with food unless advised otherwise. Do not take more than the recommended amount or use additional calcium or vitamin D supplements without medical advice.

Common side effects
Nausea, stomach discomfort, constipation, vomiting or diarrhoea may occur. Excess calcium can cause increased thirst, frequent urination, weakness or confusion.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is kidney disease, kidney stones, high calcium levels, parathyroid disease or a history of vitamin D-related problems. Avoid taking other calcium, vitamin D or zinc products without advice. Seek medical help if severe vomiting, confusion, marked weakness, excessive thirst or frequent urination develops.
