Zosdem Clav Tab (10X1X10 T) Cefpodoxime 200 Mg, Clavulanic Acid 125 Mg Tab By Zuventus

What is it used for?
This antibiotic combination is used to treat certain bacterial infections. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
Cefpodoxime kills susceptible bacteria by preventing them from forming a protective cell wall. Clavulanic acid blocks certain bacterial enzymes that can otherwise reduce cefpodoxime's activity.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Swallow the tablet with water; taking it with food may help absorption and reduce stomach upset. Do not share it or use leftover antibiotics.

Common side effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, indigestion, headache, or skin rash may occur.

Precautions
Tell the prescriber about any previous allergy to cefpodoxime, other cephalosporins, penicillins, or other antibiotics. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, severe rash, or severe or persistent diarrhoea, especially if it contains blood. Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney problems. Use only when prescribed, as unnecessary antibiotic use can contribute to resistance.
