What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of pain and inflammation, such as musculoskeletal, joint or other acute pain. Paracetamol also helps reduce fever.

How does it work?
Paracetamol reduces pain and fever. Diclofenac is an anti-inflammatory medicine that reduces substances in the body responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed. Swallow the gastro-resistant tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Taking it with or after food may help reduce stomach irritation. Do not take other medicines containing paracetamol or diclofenac unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness or headache. Diclofenac can sometimes cause stomach ulcers or bleeding, and paracetamol can affect the liver if too much is taken.

Precautions
Avoid or seek medical advice before use if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma triggered by painkillers, or use of blood thinners. Avoid other NSAID painkillers and excessive alcohol. Do not use during the last 3 months of pregnancy; seek medical advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek urgent help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe allergic symptoms, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or severe skin reactions.
