Composition:\
Vildagliptin 50 mg + Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg.

Uses:\
Used to help control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, along with a healthy diet and regular exercise. It may be prescribed when treatment with vildagliptin and metformin together is appropriate.

How to Use:\
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with or after a meal to reduce stomach discomfort. Swallow the tablet whole with water. If it is an extended-release formulation, do not crush, chew, or split the tablet. Take it at the same time each day and do not stop treatment without medical advice.

Precautions & Warnings:\
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, heart failure, pancreatitis, or regularly consume alcohol. Metformin can rarely cause lactic acidosis, particularly in people with significant kidney impairment. Your doctor may monitor kidney and liver function during treatment. Low blood sugar may occur, particularly when this medicine is used with insulin or certain other diabetes medicines.

Possible Side Effects:\
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, gas, headache, dizziness, and constipation. Long-term use of metformin may reduce vitamin B12 levels. Seek immediate medical attention for severe or persistent abdominal pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes, unusual weakness, difficulty breathing, severe vomiting, or signs of a serious allergic reaction.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:\
If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor will determine the most appropriate diabetes treatment for you.

Storage:\
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Important Safety Information:\
Take this medicine regularly as prescribed and monitor your blood sugar as advised. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption. Attend recommended kidney and liver-function tests. Tell your doctor before undergoing an X-ray or CT scan using iodinated contrast, as metformin may need to be temporarily stopped. If you miss a dose, take it when remembered with food unless it is nearly time for the next dose; do not take a double dose.
