Composition:\
Vildagliptin 100 mg.
Uses:\
Vildagliptin is an oral antidiabetic medicine used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, together with diet and exercise. It may be used alone or in combination with other diabetes medicines.
How to Use:\
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow the tablet with water. The usual total daily dose of vildagliptin is generally 50–100 mg depending on the treatment regimen; do not take more than prescribed.
Precautions & Warnings:\
Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, pancreatitis, or heart failure. Liver-function tests may be recommended before and during treatment. Low blood sugar is more likely when vildagliptin is combined with insulin or certain other diabetes medicines. Report severe or persistent abdominal pain, particularly if it radiates to the back.
Possible Side Effects:\
Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, nausea, constipation, and tremor. Serious but uncommon effects include pancreatitis, liver problems, and allergic reactions. Seek urgent medical attention for severe abdominal pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes, facial/throat swelling, or difficulty breathing.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:\
If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using vildagliptin. Your doctor can recommend the most appropriate diabetes treatment.
Storage:\
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
Important Safety Information:\
Monitor blood glucose as advised and attend recommended medical and liver-function checks. If you miss a dose, take it when remembered unless it is nearly time for the next dose; do not double the dose. Continue your prescribed diet, exercise, and other diabetes medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise.
