Composition:\
Ursodeoxycholic Acid 150 mg.
Uses:\
Used to treat certain liver and bile-related conditions, including primary biliary cholangitis and selected cholesterol gallstones. It helps improve bile flow and can reduce the amount of cholesterol absorbed or produced by the liver.
How to Use:\
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow the tablet or capsule whole with water. Take it regularly and complete the prescribed course. The dose and duration depend on the condition being treated.
Precautions & Warnings:\
Tell your doctor if you have severe liver disease, acute inflammation of the gallbladder or bile ducts, blocked bile ducts, or frequent biliary colic. Ursodeoxycholic acid is not suitable for all types of gallstones. Your doctor may recommend regular liver-function tests and, when used for gallstones, imaging to monitor treatment.
Possible Side Effects:\
Common side effects include diarrhoea, loose stools, abdominal discomfort, nausea, or vomiting. Seek medical attention for severe or persistent abdominal pain, worsening jaundice, or signs of an allergic reaction.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding:\
Ursodeoxycholic acid may be used during pregnancy when clinically indicated and prescribed by a doctor. It is generally considered compatible with breastfeeding, but consult your doctor before use.
Storage:\
Store at room temperature in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
Important Safety Information:\
Use only under medical supervision and for the prescribed duration. If used to dissolve gallstones, treatment may take several months and requires medical monitoring. Medicines containing aluminium hydroxide or other antacids may reduce absorption; separate their use from ursodeoxycholic acid as advised by your doctor.
