Tusformin Plus Tablet (10X1X10 T) Glimepiride 2 Mg, Metformin 500 Mg Tab By Zuventus

What is it used for?
Used with diet and exercise to help control high blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is not used to treat type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

How does it work?
Glimepiride helps the pancreas release more insulin. Metformin reduces glucose production by the liver and helps the body use insulin more effectively.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed, usually with a meal, and swallow with water. Take it regularly and do not change the dose or stop it without medical advice. Blood sugar monitoring may be advised.

Common side effects
Low blood sugar, nausea, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, gas and loss of appetite. Low blood sugar may cause sweating, shaking, dizziness, hunger or confusion.

Precautions
Use only under medical supervision if there is kidney or liver disease, heavy alcohol use, or a history of severe low blood sugar. Do not skip meals after taking it. Avoid excessive alcohol. Seek urgent medical help for severe or persistent low blood sugar, unusual weakness, breathing difficulty or severe vomiting. Kidney function may need to be checked during treatment.
