What is it used for?
This medicine is used to reduce heavy menstrual bleeding and relieve period pain or cramps.

How does it work?
Tranexamic acid helps reduce bleeding by helping blood clots remain in place. Mefenamic acid reduces the substances that cause pain, inflammation and menstrual cramps.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the tablet with water, preferably with or after food, and do not take more than the recommended amount. Do not use it for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, indigestion, stomach discomfort, headache and dizziness.

Precautions
Tell the doctor before use if there is a history of blood clots, kidney disease, stomach ulcer or bleeding, asthma triggered by painkillers, or allergy to NSAID painkillers. Inform the doctor about use of blood thinners or hormonal contraceptives. Stop the medicine and seek urgent medical help for chest pain, sudden breathlessness, leg swelling, severe allergic symptoms or vision changes.
