What is it used for?
Used on the skin for certain bacterial and fungal skin infections that may be associated with redness, itching or inflammation. It should be used only when prescribed, as it is not suitable for every rash or skin infection.

How does it work?
Ciprofloxacin and metronidazole act against susceptible bacteria, while terbinafine treats fungal infections. Clobetasol is a potent corticosteroid that reduces redness, swelling and itching.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the clean, dry affected area exactly as directed by a doctor. Wash hands before and after application, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas, and do not cover the area tightly unless advised.

Common side effects
Burning, stinging, irritation, redness, dryness or itching at the application site. Prolonged or inappropriate use may cause skin thinning, stretch marks or skin-colour changes.

Precautions
Use only on the prescribed area and for the prescribed duration. Clobetasol can worsen, hide or mask some infections when used inappropriately. Avoid use on the face, groin, skin folds, broken skin or large areas unless specifically advised. Do not use for acne or undiagnosed rashes. Stop and seek medical advice if the infection worsens, an allergic reaction occurs, or there is no improvement.
