What is it used for?
Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Controlling blood pressure helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and other complications.

How does it work?
Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels by blocking the action of a substance that causes them to tighten. Cilnidipine relaxes the blood vessel walls through calcium-channel blocking, helping blood flow more easily and lowering blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take this medicine exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not stop it suddenly or change the dose without medical advice.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, flushing, ankle or foot swelling, palpitations and tiredness may occur. Contact a doctor if side effects are severe or persistent.

Precautions
May cause dizziness, especially when standing up; rise slowly and avoid driving until the effect is known. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver disease, dehydration, low blood pressure, or high potassium levels. Avoid potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes unless advised. Do not use during pregnancy; inform the doctor if pregnant or planning pregnancy. Tell the doctor about all medicines being taken, especially other blood-pressure medicines and anti-inflammatory painkillers.
