What is it used for?
This combination medicine is used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension) and help reduce the risk of related heart and blood vessel problems. It combines three blood-pressure medicines and is generally used when more than one medicine is needed.

How does it work?
Telmisartan relaxes blood vessels, chlorthalidone helps remove extra salt and water through urine, and metoprolol slows the heart rate and reduces the heart's workload. Together, they help lower blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not stop it suddenly, especially because it contains metoprolol. If a dose is missed, follow the prescriber's instructions rather than taking extra medicine.

Common side effects
Dizziness, tiredness, headache, slow heartbeat, low blood pressure, increased urination, nausea, and changes in blood salt levels may occur.

Precautions
Regular monitoring of blood pressure, pulse, kidney function, and electrolytes may be needed. Rise slowly if dizziness occurs and maintain adequate fluids unless fluid restriction has been advised. Tell the doctor about diabetes, asthma or breathing problems, kidney or liver disease, gout, or a slow heartbeat. This medicine should not be used during pregnancy; inform the doctor immediately if pregnancy occurs. Do not stop treatment suddenly without medical advice.
