What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) when treatment with both telmisartan and metoprolol is needed.

How does it work?
Telmisartan relaxes and widens blood vessels, while metoprolol slows the heart rate and reduces the heart's workload. Together, they help lower blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by the doctor and at the same time each day. Swallow the sustained-release tablet whole; do not crush or chew it. Do not stop taking it suddenly without medical advice.

Common side effects
Dizziness, tiredness, headache, low blood pressure, slow heartbeat, and stomach upset may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor if there is asthma or breathing difficulty, a slow heartbeat, heart conduction problems, diabetes, kidney or liver disease, or high potassium levels. Telmisartan should not be used during pregnancy. Avoid potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes unless advised by a doctor. Dizziness may occur, especially when standing up; rise slowly and avoid driving if affected.
