What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), especially when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with one or two medicines. Controlling blood pressure helps reduce the risk of serious heart and blood vessel problems.

How does it work?
Telmisartan and amlodipine relax and widen blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water, which lowers blood pressure.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet with water. Do not stop treatment or change the dose without medical advice.

Common side effects
Dizziness, headache, tiredness, ankle or leg swelling, increased urination, nausea, and stomach upset. Changes in blood salts or kidney function may also occur.

Precautions
May cause dizziness, especially when starting treatment or when standing up; rise slowly and avoid driving if affected. Medical advice is important if there is kidney or liver disease, dehydration, gout, diabetes, or an imbalance of body salts. Blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolytes may need monitoring.
