What is it used for?
Hydroxyzine is used for short-term relief of anxiety and tension, and to relieve itching caused by allergies or certain skin conditions. It may also be used for its sedating effect before some medical procedures.

How does it work?
It blocks histamine, a substance involved in allergic itching and symptoms. It also reduces activity in the brain, which can produce a calming and drowsy effect.

How to take/use it
