What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat certain bacterial and protozoal infections that may cause diarrhoea, loose motions or dysentery. It should be used only when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
Ofloxacin stops the growth of susceptible bacteria. Metronidazole acts against certain anaerobic bacteria and parasites by damaging their genetic material.

How to take/use it
Shake the suspension well before use and measure it with the supplied measuring device. Take it only in the dose and for the duration prescribed by the doctor, and complete the course unless advised otherwise. Do not self-medicate for diarrhoea.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, headache, dizziness, metallic taste and temporary changes in bowel movements may occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 3 days after the last dose. Tell the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, liver disease, a history of seizures or nerve problems, tendon problems, or allergy to quinolone antibiotics or metronidazole. Seek medical help for severe rash, breathing difficulty, numbness or tingling, tendon pain or swelling, palpitations, or worsening or bloody diarrhoea.
