What is it used for?
Used to relieve pain and cramps, especially menstrual cramps. It may also help reduce pain associated with spasms in the abdomen.

How does it work?
Mefenamic acid reduces the production of substances that cause pain and inflammation. Dicyclomine relaxes intestinal and abdominal muscles to reduce spasms and cramping.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by a doctor. Take with or after food and swallow with water. Do not take more than the recommended amount or combine it with other painkillers such as ibuprofen or aspirin unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea or constipation, dry mouth, dizziness, blurred vision and drowsiness.

Precautions
Avoid this medicine or seek medical advice if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, heart disease, asthma triggered by painkillers, glaucoma, or difficulty passing urine. Inform the doctor if pregnant, especially during the last three months, or breastfeeding. Stop taking it and seek medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, breathing difficulty, facial swelling or a serious skin rash.
