What is it used for?
Used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH), such as difficulty starting urination, weak or interrupted urine flow, frequent urination, and incomplete bladder emptying.

How does it work?
Silodosin relaxes the muscles around the prostate and bladder outlet, helping urine flow more easily. Dutasteride lowers the hormone that causes prostate growth and may gradually reduce prostate size.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day. Swallow the capsule whole with water and do not crush or chew it. Follow the prescribed treatment duration and do not stop it without medical advice.

Common side effects
Dizziness, low blood pressure on standing, reduced or absent semen during ejaculation, decreased sex drive, difficulty getting an erection, and breast tenderness or enlargement.

Precautions
Rise slowly if feeling dizzy, especially when starting treatment. Avoid driving or operating machinery until the effect is known. Tell the doctor about liver disease, low blood pressure, or planned cataract surgery. Inform the doctor about other medicines for blood pressure or erectile dysfunction. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not handle leaking or broken capsules; men taking this medicine should not donate blood during treatment and for the advised period after stopping it.
