What is it used for?
Used on the skin to treat fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot and jock itch. It may also help reduce scaling and flaking associated with seborrhoeic dermatitis.
How does it work?
Sertaconazole stops the growth of fungi that cause skin infections. Zinc pyrithione has antifungal and anti-flaking properties.
How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply to the affected area exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Keep the area clean and dry, wash hands before and after use, and avoid contact with the eyes and mouth.
Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness, dryness or irritation at the application site.
Precautions
Do not use if allergic to sertaconazole, zinc pyrithione or any ingredient. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or a rash develops, or if the infection does not improve. Do not apply to broken skin unless advised by a doctor.
