What is it used for?
Used to relieve cough with mucus and chest congestion, especially when airway narrowing or wheezing is also present. It helps loosen mucus so it can be coughed out more easily.
How does it work?
Levosalbutamol relaxes and opens the airways. Ambroxol thins mucus, while guaiphenesin helps loosen and clear phlegm.
How to take/use it
Use only as directed by a doctor or pharmacist, especially for children. Measure the drops with the supplied dropper and do not exceed the recommended amount. Drink adequate fluids unless medically restricted.
Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, headache, dizziness, shakiness or tremors, and fast heartbeat may occur.
Precautions
Use medical advice is important for children, and for people with heart disease, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, seizures, or low potassium. Seek medical help for severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, marked palpitations, or an allergic reaction. Do not use longer than advised if the cough persists or worsens.
