What is it used for?
This syrup is used to relieve a phlegmy or mucus-producing cough and chest congestion. It may also help ease wheezing or breathing difficulty caused by narrowing of the airways.
How does it work?
Ambroxol thins and loosens mucus, while guaifenesin helps clear it from the airways. Terbutaline relaxes the airway muscles and helps improve airflow.
How to take/use it
Take only as directed by a doctor or as stated on the product label. Shake the bottle well before use and measure the syrup with the supplied measuring device. Do not take more than the recommended amount.
Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort, headache, shakiness, nervousness, fast heartbeat or palpitations.
Precautions
Use with medical advice if there is heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, seizures, or a history of irregular heartbeat. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice if breathing difficulty is severe, worsening, or not improving.
