What is it used for?
This medicine is used to help prevent heart attacks, strokes and other heart-related problems in people with established coronary artery disease, often after a heart attack or coronary stent. It lowers cholesterol and helps prevent harmful blood clots. Use only under medical supervision.

How does it work?
Rosuvastatin lowers harmful LDL cholesterol. Aspirin and clopidogrel reduce the ability of platelets to stick together, helping prevent blood clots.

How to take/use it
Take exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food unless advised otherwise. Do not stop it suddenly or change the dose without medical advice, particularly after a heart attack or stent. Do not take additional aspirin or blood-thinning medicines unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Easy bruising, nosebleeds or other minor bleeding, indigestion, stomach discomfort, nausea, headache and muscle aches.

Precautions
This medicine can increase the risk of serious bleeding. Seek urgent medical help for bleeding that does not stop, black stools, vomiting blood, severe headache or unusual weakness. Tell the doctor about stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, liver or kidney disease, planned surgery or dental procedures. Report unexplained severe muscle pain, weakness or dark urine. Inform the doctor about all medicines, especially blood thinners, painkillers such as ibuprofen, and medicines that interact with clopidogrel. It is generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless specifically advised.
