What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat bacterial infections caused by bacteria that are sensitive to ofloxacin. It does not work against viral infections such as the common cold or flu. Lactic acid bacillus helps support healthy intestinal bacteria during antibiotic treatment.

How does it work?
Ofloxacin kills bacteria by blocking enzymes needed for bacterial growth and reproduction. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic that helps maintain the normal balance of bacteria in the intestine.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed by a doctor and complete the recommended course, even if symptoms improve. Swallow with water. Do not take it together with antacids or mineral supplements containing aluminium, magnesium, iron or calcium unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist, as they may reduce absorption.

Common side effects
Nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, indigestion, headache, dizziness and sleep disturbance may occur. Stop the medicine and seek medical help for severe or persistent diarrhoea, allergic reactions, tendon pain or swelling, numbness, tingling or unusual weakness.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about pregnancy, breastfeeding, kidney disease, seizure disorders, heart rhythm problems, diabetes, tendon problems or previous reaction to quinolone antibiotics. Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizzy. Avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use sun protection. Use in children and older adults only when specifically prescribed.
