What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gas and bloating.
How does it work?
Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide neutralise excess stomach acid. Simethicone helps break up gas bubbles, reducing bloating and discomfort.
How to take/use it
Use only as directed on the product label or by a doctor or pharmacist. Measure the liquid carefully if supplied as a suspension, and do not take more than recommended. Keep a 2–4 hour gap from other medicines unless advised otherwise.
Common side effects
Constipation, loose stools or diarrhoea, stomach cramps, nausea, or changes in bowel movements may occur.
Precautions
Ask a doctor before use if there is kidney disease, severe or persistent stomach pain, repeated vomiting, or unexplained weight loss. Do not use for prolonged periods without medical advice. Seek medical advice if symptoms continue or worsen.
