What is it used for?
Minoxidil 10% solution is applied to the scalp to help treat pattern hair loss and support hair regrowth. It is not usually suitable for sudden, patchy or unexplained hair loss without medical advice.
How does it work?
It helps improve blood flow around hair follicles and may prolong the hair-growth phase, helping some follicles produce thicker hair.
How to take/use it
Use only on the scalp and follow the product label or prescriber's instructions. Apply to a clean, dry scalp, wash hands after use, and avoid contact with the eyes, face and broken or irritated skin. Do not use more than recommended.
Common side effects
Scalp itching, dryness, redness or irritation; unwanted facial or body hair; headache or dizziness. Rarely, fast heartbeat or swelling may occur.
Precautions
For external use only. Avoid use on an irritated or sunburned scalp. Stop use and seek medical advice if chest pain, fainting, severe dizziness, rapid heartbeat or swelling develops. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if hair loss is sudden, patchy or due to another medical condition.
