What is it used for?
Eperisone is a muscle relaxant used to relieve painful muscle spasms, stiffness and increased muscle tightness associated with musculoskeletal conditions. It may also be used for muscle spasticity when prescribed by a doctor.

How does it work?
It acts mainly on the central nervous system to reduce excessive muscle tension and spasms. This can help improve movement and relieve related pain and stiffness.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, preferably with or after food if advised. Swallow the sustained-release capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, headache, nausea and stomach discomfort may occur.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is liver disease. Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizziness, drowsiness or weakness occurs. Stop the medicine and seek urgent medical help for a rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty or other signs of a serious allergic reaction.
