What is it used for?
This combination is used to relieve neuropathic pain, which is caused by irritated or damaged nerves. It may help with burning, shooting, tingling or electric-shock-like pain.

How does it work?
Pregabalin reduces abnormal nerve signals involved in pain. Nortriptyline increases certain natural chemical messengers that help reduce pain signals.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food. Swallow the tablet with water. Take it regularly and do not stop suddenly without medical advice, as the dose may need to be reduced gradually. Avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known.

Common side effects
Dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, blurred vision, dry mouth, constipation, nausea, increased appetite and weight gain.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol, as it can increase sleepiness and dizziness. Tell the doctor about kidney disease, glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, heart problems, breathing problems, or use of opioid painkillers or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Seek medical help for severe breathing difficulty, swelling of the face or throat, severe allergic reactions, or new or worsening suicidal thoughts.
