What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of dry cough, blocked nose, runny nose and sneezing associated with cough and cold.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex. Phenylephrine helps reduce nasal congestion, while chlorpheniramine reduces allergy-like symptoms such as sneezing and a runny nose.

How to take/use it
Use only as directed on the package or by a healthcare professional. Do not take more or more frequently than recommended. Avoid using it with other cough, cold or allergy medicines unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea and stomach discomfort. Phenylephrine may cause a fast heartbeat or increased blood pressure.

Precautions
May cause drowsiness; avoid driving, alcohol and sedative medicines. Seek medical advice before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, an overactive thyroid, prostate or urination problems, or if taking antidepressants, especially monoamine oxidase inhibitors. Children, older adults, and people who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use it only on medical advice. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, severe palpitations or worsening symptoms.
