What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of cough, blocked nose, runny nose and sneezing associated with common cold or similar upper-respiratory symptoms.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan helps reduce the urge to cough. Phenylephrine reduces nasal swelling and congestion, while chlorpheniramine helps relieve runny nose and sneezing.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed on the package or by a doctor. Shake the bottle well and measure the syrup with the supplied measuring device. Do not take it with other cough, cold or allergy medicines unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, headache, nervousness or trouble sleeping. Phenylephrine may cause a fast heartbeat or increased blood pressure.

Precautions
Avoid driving or operating machinery if drowsy or dizzy, and avoid alcohol and other medicines that cause sleepiness. Seek medical advice before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, thyroid disease, difficulty passing urine or prostate problems. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitor medicines or within 14 days of stopping them. Ask a doctor before giving it to children, during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, severe palpitations, or a cough that persists or worsens.
