What is it used for?
Used on the scalp and hair to treat head lice and help remove nits (lice eggs).
How does it work?
Permethrin is an insect-killing medicine that affects the nervous system of lice, causing them to die. It may not kill all eggs, so follow the product instructions carefully.
How to take/use it
For external use only. Use the soap on the hair and scalp exactly as directed on the product label or by a pharmacist. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other sensitive areas. Do not use more often or leave on longer than advised.
Common side effects
Temporary itching, redness, burning, stinging, tingling or skin irritation may occur.
Precautions
Avoid use if allergic to permethrin or any ingredient. Do not apply to the eyes, mouth, broken or severely irritated skin. Wash hands after use and keep away from children. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or breathing difficulty occurs.
