What is it used for?
Ranitidine reduces excess stomach acid and is used for acidity, heartburn, acid reflux and stomach or duodenal ulcers.
How does it work?
It blocks histamine H2 receptors in the stomach, reducing the production of stomach acid.
How to take/use it
Use only as prescribed by a doctor. Follow the instructions on the product label; do not change the dose or duration yourself. If this is an injectable product, it should be administered by a healthcare professional.
Common side effects
Headache, nausea, stomach discomfort, constipation or diarrhoea.
