What is it used for?
Domperidone is used to relieve nausea and vomiting. It may also help stomach contents move through the digestive system when stomach emptying is delayed.

How does it work?
It blocks dopamine signals involved in nausea and vomiting and helps increase movement of the upper digestive tract.

How to take/use it
Shake the suspension well before use and measure it with the supplied measuring device. Take it exactly as prescribed, usually before meals. Do not use more than directed or for longer than recommended.

Common side effects
Dry mouth, headache, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, and sleepiness may occur.

Precautions
Domperidone can rarely cause serious heart-rhythm problems. Tell the doctor about any heart disease, irregular heartbeat, liver disease, or low potassium or magnesium levels, and about all medicines being taken. It may not be suitable with some antibiotics, antifungals, or medicines that affect heart rhythm. Stop using it and seek urgent medical help for a fast or irregular heartbeat, fainting, seizures, or severe dizziness.
