What is it used for?
Used to treat acidity, heartburn and acid reflux (GERD). It may also help relieve associated nausea, vomiting, bloating and discomfort caused by slow stomach emptying.

How does it work?
Pantoprazole reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Domperidone helps food move through the stomach and helps control nausea and vomiting.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not crush or chew it. It is generally taken before a meal, as directed by the doctor.

Common side effects
Headache, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach pain, constipation, dry mouth and dizziness may occur.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice if there is a history of heart disease, irregular heartbeat, fainting, electrolyte imbalance, liver disease or kidney disease. Domperidone can rarely cause serious heart-rhythm problems and may interact with some medicines, including certain antibiotics and antifungals. Seek medical help for palpitations, fainting or severe dizziness. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist or if there is difficulty swallowing, vomiting blood or unexplained weight loss.
