What is it used for?

How does it work?
Oxymetazoline narrows swollen blood vessels in the lining of the nose, helping reduce swelling and improve airflow.

How to take/use it
Use in the nose only and follow the instructions on the package or those given by a healthcare professional. Do not use more often or for longer than recommended, as prolonged use can make nasal congestion worse. Avoid sharing the bottle and avoid contact with the eyes.

Common side effects
Nasal dryness, irritation, burning, sneezing, headache, or a temporary increase in nasal blockage after the effect wears off. Palpitations or a rise in blood pressure may occur, especially if overused.

Precautions
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid, glaucoma, or prostate problems. Check before use with antidepressants such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants.
