What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of constipation and to help make hard stools easier to pass.

How does it work?
Liquid paraffin lubricates and softens the stool, while milk of magnesia draws water into the bowel. Sodium picosulfate stimulates bowel movement.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed by a doctor or according to the product label. Measure the liquid accurately using a measuring device. Do not take more than recommended or use it for a prolonged period without medical advice.

Common side effects
Abdominal cramps, bloating, nausea and loose stools or diarrhoea may occur.

Precautions
Do not use without medical advice if there is severe abdominal pain, vomiting, suspected bowel blockage or unexplained rectal bleeding. Drink adequate fluids unless fluid restriction has been advised. Prolonged or excessive use may cause dehydration or electrolyte imbalance. Seek medical advice if constipation persists or keeps returning.
