What is it used for?
Sodium chloride 0.65% is a mild saline solution commonly used as nasal drops or a spray to moisturise dry nasal passages, loosen mucus and help relieve a blocked or irritated nose.
How does it work?
It adds moisture to the nasal passages and helps wash away mucus, dust and other irritants.
How to take/use it
Use in the nose only if the product is labelled for nasal use. Follow the instructions on the product label. Wash hands before use, and do not share the container or touch its tip to the nose or other surfaces.
Common side effects
Temporary stinging, irritation, sneezing or a feeling of dryness may occur.
Precautions
For nasal use only when labelled for that purpose. Do not use the product if it appears contaminated or the container is damaged. Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation is severe, symptoms worsen or nasal blockage persists.
