What is it used for?
Nepafenac eye suspension is used to reduce eye pain and inflammation after cataract surgery. Use it only for the eye condition and duration prescribed by the eye specialist.

How does it work?
It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine that reduces the production of chemicals responsible for pain and inflammation in the eye.

How to take/use it
Shake the bottle well before use. Put the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye(s), following the eye specialist’s instructions. Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye or any surface. Close the bottle after use and do not wear contact lenses unless advised by the eye specialist.

Common side effects
Temporary burning or stinging, eye irritation, redness, itching, watering, eye pain or blurred vision may occur.

Precautions
Do not use it if allergic to nepafenac, aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines. Use with caution if there is a history of bleeding problems, corneal disease, dry eyes or previous eye surgery. Do not use it for longer than prescribed, as prolonged use may delay healing or affect the cornea. Seek medical attention for severe eye pain, worsening redness, discharge, marked vision changes or persistent irritation.
