What is it used for?
Xylometazoline nasal spray is used for short-term relief of a blocked or stuffy nose caused by the common cold, sinus congestion or allergic rhinitis.
How does it work?
It narrows swollen blood vessels inside the nose, reducing swelling and helping air pass more easily.
How to take/use it
Use in the nose exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not use it more often or for longer than recommended, as this can make nasal congestion return or worsen.
Common side effects
Nasal dryness, irritation, burning or discomfort, headache, and sneezing. Congestion may worsen after prolonged or excessive use.
Precautions
