Moxinil 625 (10x1x10) Amoxycillin 500mg + Clavulanic Acid 125mg by Csc

What is it used for?
Amoxycillin with clavulanic acid is an antibiotic used to treat a range of bacterial infections, such as infections of the ears, sinuses, throat, lungs, skin, urinary tract and teeth. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
Amoxycillin kills susceptible bacteria by blocking the formation of their protective cell wall. Clavulanic acid helps protect amoxycillin from enzymes that can make some bacteria resistant to it.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Take it with a meal or snack to reduce stomach upset. Do not share this medicine or use leftover antibiotics.

Common side effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, indigestion, skin rash and thrush may occur.

Precautions
Do not take it if there has been a serious allergy to penicillin, amoxycillin, other beta-lactam antibiotics or this medicine. Inform the doctor about liver disease, kidney disease, previous antibiotic-related jaundice or liver problems, and any medicines being used. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, swelling, a severe skin rash, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or severe or persistent diarrhoea.
