Moxinil 375 (10x1x10) Amoxycillin 250mg + Clavulanic Acid 125mg by Csc

What is it used for?
Amoxycillin with clavulanic acid is a prescription antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections, including infections of the ears, sinuses, throat, lungs, urinary tract, skin and teeth. It does not treat viral infections such as common colds or flu.

How does it work?
Amoxycillin kills susceptible bacteria. Clavulanic acid helps protect amoxycillin from bacterial enzymes that can make the antibiotic ineffective.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed and preferably at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset. Complete the prescribed course, even if symptoms improve. Do not double the next dose if a dose is missed.

Common side effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, indigestion and skin rash may occur. Fungal infections such as oral or vaginal thrush can also occur.

Precautions
Do not take it if there has been a serious allergy to penicillin, amoxycillin, other beta-lactam antibiotics or this medicine. Inform the doctor about previous antibiotic-related jaundice or liver problems, kidney disease, allergies, or glandular fever. Seek urgent medical help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling or a severe rash. Contact a doctor for severe, persistent or bloody diarrhoea, or yellowing of the skin or eyes. Use only when prescribed and do not share leftover antibiotics.
