What is it used for?
Used to treat bacterial eye infections when there is also redness and inflammation. It should be used only when prescribed by an eye-care professional.

How does it work?
Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic that stops the growth of bacteria. Loteprednol is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness and swelling in the eye.

How to take/use it
Use in the affected eye(s) exactly as prescribed. Shake the bottle well if it is a suspension, and wash hands before use. Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye or any surface. Remove contact lenses before use and restart them only as advised. If using other eye drops, leave an appropriate gap between them.

Common side effects
Temporary stinging or burning, eye irritation, blurred vision, watering, or increased sensitivity to light may occur. Prolonged use may increase eye pressure or delay healing.

Precautions
Do not use without medical advice, especially if the eye infection may be viral or fungal, as steroids can worsen or mask these infections. Tell the doctor about glaucoma, eye surgery, or other eye problems. Seek medical advice if pain, redness, swelling, vision changes or the infection worsens. Avoid driving until temporary blurred vision clears.
