What is it used for?
N,N-Diethylbenzamide 12% w/w is used as a topical insect repellent to help protect exposed skin from insect bites, such as mosquito bites.
How does it work?
It works by interfering with the ability of insects to detect and approach the smell of human skin. It repels insects rather than killing them.
How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply to exposed skin or clothing as directed on the product label. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and broken or irritated skin. Wash hands after application.
Common side effects
Mild skin irritation, redness, itching or a burning sensation may occur. Eye irritation can occur if the product gets into the eyes.
Precautions
Do not swallow or apply near the eyes or mouth. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation or an allergic reaction occurs. Keep out of reach of children and follow the product label for age restrictions and reapplication instructions.
