Montudol LC (10x1x10) Levocetirizine 5mg + Montelukast 10mg by Csc

What is it used for?
This medicine is mainly used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, nasal itching, and itchy or watery eyes. It may also be prescribed as an add-on treatment for some people with asthma. It is not meant to relieve a sudden asthma attack.

How does it work?
Levocetirizine blocks histamine, a substance involved in allergy symptoms. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, chemicals that can cause swelling and narrowing of the airways and contribute to allergy symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take it by mouth exactly as prescribed. Do not take more than the recommended amount or use it for longer than advised. Avoid driving or operating machinery if it causes drowsiness.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, tiredness, headache, dry mouth, stomach pain, nausea, or diarrhoea may occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and be careful when driving if drowsy. Inform the doctor about kidney or liver problems, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or other medicines being used. Stop the medicine and seek medical advice promptly if unusual dreams, sleep problems, agitation, depression, aggressive behaviour, or thoughts of self-harm occur. Do not use it as a rescue medicine for a sudden asthma attack.
