What is it used for?
Used to relieve symptoms of allergies, especially allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

How does it work?
Bilastine blocks histamine, a substance responsible for many allergy symptoms. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, which can contribute to swelling and inflammation in the airways and nose.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by the doctor and follow the instructions on the label. Swallow the tablet with water. Bilastine is generally taken on an empty stomach, as food or fruit juice may reduce its absorption. Do not take more or use it for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Headache, drowsiness, dizziness, stomach pain, nausea, or diarrhoea may occur.

Precautions
Use cautiously if there is a history of severe liver or kidney problems, or allergy to either ingredient. Montelukast may rarely cause sleep problems, mood changes, unusual behaviour, anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts; contact a doctor promptly if these occur. This medicine is not a substitute for a prescribed quick-relief inhaler during an asthma attack. Avoid driving or operating machinery if drowsiness or dizziness occurs.
