What is it used for?
This medicine is used to relieve painful menstrual cramps and spasmodic abdominal pain. It should be used only for the condition and duration advised by a doctor.

How does it work?
Mefenamic acid reduces pain and inflammation, while dicyclomine relaxes spasms in the muscles of the abdomen and intestines.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, preferably with or after food and with water. Do not take more than the recommended amount or use it for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhoea or constipation, dizziness, dry mouth and blurred vision may occur.

Precautions
Avoid this medicine if allergic to mefenamic acid, dicyclomine or similar painkillers. Inform the doctor about stomach ulcers or bleeding, kidney or liver disease, asthma triggered by painkillers, glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, or bowel blockage. Avoid alcohol and driving if dizzy or if vision is blurred. Do not use during pregnancy, especially the last three months, unless specifically advised by a doctor. Seek medical help for severe stomach pain, black stools, vomiting blood, breathing difficulty or an allergic reaction.
